Vodafone Cook Islands launches Text-to-Win campaign to support local communities

​

Vodafone has today launched a Text-to-Win campaign giving Cook Islanders the opportunity to go in the draw to win a brand new 2024 Haval Jolion Premium SUV car,  while also giving back to the community. 

​

To participate, simply text “CAR” to 947. Each TXT costs $1, and proceeds will go towards initiatives that uplift and support local communities.​​

​

The campaign reflects Vodafone’s commitment to support and uplift Cook Island communities, with proceeds directed toward funding projects and initiatives that support in the focus areas of; education, youth development, sports, and culture.

​

“This campaign is about more than offering an incredible prize,” said Lahaina Kiely,  Manager Commercial at Vodafone Cook Islands.

“It’s an opportunity for our community to come together and contribute to projects that deliver lasting benefits for the Cook Islands.”

Terms & Conditions

  1. The promotion is limited to Cook Islands Residents and Vodafone Customers only. 

  2. Eligible customers are, Vodafone prepay casual and prepay plan mobile customers and Vodafone postpay plan mobile customers. If the mobile phone or contract used to enter the competition is owned or paid for by a business or employer, the business or employer will be deemed the winner of the prize, not the individual user of the phone. 

  3. Promotion is not available to Travel SIM customers.

  4. Eligible customers must send in a keyword :  CAR to 947 to go into the draw to win.

  5. Each Keyword TXT entry costs $1NZD.

  6. There is no limit to the number of entries per customer.

  7. Winners will be drawn at random via Randomizer under Police Supervision.

  8. The competition is not open to Vodafone Cook Islands staff or their immediate families, or anyone else helping with the competition.

  9. The prize is to be collected from the Vodafone Cook Islands Main Office in Parekura, Avarua, Rarotonga, Cook Islands.

  10. The collection of the prize is subject to the Winner signing a release form in favour of Vodafone Cook Islands.

  11. If the winner is a minor the release form must be signed by a parent or guardian.

  12. The winner must bring current proof of identity i.e - driver’s license, in order to redeem the prize.

  13. If the winner is based in the Outer Islands, the cost of freight will be at the winner's cost.

  14. The prize can’t be transferred or exchanged.

  15. The prize can’t be redeemed for cash.

  16. We aren’t responsible for lost or destroyed entries or prizes.

  17. We aren’t responsible for any extra costs of the prize including insurance. 

  18. The winner agrees to be photographed and/or interviewed for promotions on Vodafone channels and media.

  19. The winner agrees to Vodafone vehicle stickers to be placed on the prize for a period of 6 months from the time of collection. 

  20. The winner lets us use their name, city/town, competition entry and/or photos and interviews for our use. This is without compensation.

  21. We hold any personal information from this competition under our privacy policy. You may access, update and correct it.

  22. Permit for Text to Win has been approved in accordance with Police approval under the Gaming Licence Act.
